The Shipwright Pub and GuestHouse

Eoghan Breatnach

It is with great sadness that we inform our customers that The Shipwright Pub and Guest House is closed due to the death of our beloved owner, Eoghan Breatnach. We do not intend to reopen until ongoing legal procedures with the landlord are completed. This process could take some time, and even if we do reopen in the future, it will never be the same without Eoghan.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of Eoghan. He was a wonderful person who touched the lives of so many people in so many different ways. It is clear that Eoghan was not only knowledgeable and accomplished, but also kind, caring, and generous. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Eoghan was a true intellectual and linguist, always willing to share his knowledge with others. He was a great debater and had a passion for Irish culture, history, music, and literature. He had a unique ability to bring people together and make them feel welcome. Eoghan was a good friend, a wonderful teacher, and a mentor.

The memories and tributes shared in his condolences site Eoghan Breatnach show just how much Eoghan was loved and respected. He made an impact on so many lives, and his loss will be deeply felt. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and all who knew him during this difficult time.

May Eoghan's gentle soul rest in peace.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time. We appreciate your loyalty to The Shipwright over the years.
